About Korey
Korey believes it is an honour and privilege to be allowed to hear somebody’s life story. She is of the philosophy each person is born a unique individual. Consequently, Korey provides tailored support to meet the emotional & behavioural needs of each individual she provides counselling to.Her experience has involved working with individuals, couples and families dealing with challenging life events such as:
1) People with terminal illnesses and their bereaved families, partners and friends
2) Men, women, young people and children who have been sexually assaulted and/or abused.
Korey has an employment history of providing counselling for non-government, government and private agencies.
Korey has studied in several areas of the social sciences. She holds the following degrees: Honours B. Soc. Sc. (Pysch.); Graduate Degree in Psychology; Bachelor of Social Work; Bachelor of Education; Graduate Diploma in Counselling and a Master of Counselling. Korey is a Registered Psychologist & Clinical Social Worker. She has been working as a Registered Psychologist since 2008 and is certified as an Emotionally Focused Couple’s Therapist. Korey has had training and worked in the following areas:

She’s also a Registered Psychologist as well as an Accredited Clinical Social Worker.
Experience
Korey has an employment history of providing counselling for non-government, government and private agencies and she’s worked with families, couples and individuals. She started Something More Counselling Service back in 2002 but overall she has over 20 years of experience in the counselling field.
She has been able to help:
- People with terminal illnesses and their bereaved families, partners and friends
- Men, women, and young people who have been sexually assaulted and/or abused
- Women and children who have experienced abuse
Fees and cancellations
A session for an individual is usually 1 hour and relationship sessions are 1 hour session with a request for a longer session time. Payment can be made in cash or via EFTPOS transaction and is payable at the conclusion of each therapy session. If you’re unable to keep an appointment, please provide us with 24 hours advance notice otherwise a cancellation fee of the cost of the session will incur.
